  • 2015-2016 CAASPP Student Score Reports Mailed

    Before the school year ended, students in grades 3-8 and 11 took part in the 2015–16 California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP). These assessments include the:

    • Smarter Balanced English-Language Arts Assessment
    • Smarter Balanced Math Assessment
    • CST Science Assessment for grade 5, 8, and 10

     The student score report you received shows:

    • ELA and Mathematics achievement scores
    • CST Science scores if your child was in grades 5, 8, or 10

     If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact your student's school.

  • Sustainability Award Presented

    At the Travis USD Governing Board Meeting, June 14th, TUSD was recognized for its energy conservation that has resulted in savings since the program began with Cenergistic.  A Chairman's Sustainabilty Award was presented by Cenrgistic's Vice President, Energy Consultant, Mark Giugni. 

    Travis Unified School District has achieved a 34 percent energy cost savings totaling $4,789,895 in a 137 month program since forming a strategic alliance with Cenergistic.

    Faculty and staff at Travis Unified School District have consistently paved the energy conservation pathway for other organizations while achieving significant savings with energy-efficient behavior — and now those good habits are earning the organization national recognition.   Congratulations!

  • 3rd Straight Year!

    The City of Fairfield recently awarded Center Elementary a Green Business Award, for their recycling program, at the Fairfield City Council meeting last month!  Travis USD has won an  award for 3 straight years (Travis & Scandia).   Way to go!

  • Science is Cool!

    Vanden hosted the Solano County STEM Fair last week in the Viking Gymnasium.    There were over 250 enteries this year from local area schools (Vanden and Foxboro were among them).  Entries were set up Thursday.  High School entries were judged Friday (Vanden's winners are listed below) and winners received awards during an evening cermony that their parents could attend.  

    A big Congratulations to Vanden's winners:

    • Camille Stephens of Vanden High, “A Bone-Crushing Experience: The Effect of Nicotine on Bone Strength,” Overall Winner.

    • Simone Darbonne and Jennifer King of Vanden, “Bombs From Space,” Environmental Science, first place.

    • Sean Abutin of Vanden, “The Power of Magnetism,” Physical Science, first place.

  • Public Notice of Surplus Property

    On an as needed, on-going basis, the Travis Unified School District in Fairfield, California will be disposing of surplus personal property by public auction, eBay, sealed bid, or other appropriate method of disposal. Surplus items may be sold at public auction on eBay through user baycitysurplus. Bay City Surplus may be reached via e-mail at or by phone at 1-800-870-6006. The disposal of surplus District personal property will be conducted in accordance with Education Code.
